Now A New little One Is Expected

A few days ago I received amazing news... I am going to be an auntie again! One of my lifelong friends just discovered that she is having a baby and in about six months we will all be greeting a infant baby into this world. The instant she gave me her news I started thinking about a baby shower, welcome gifts, and all the toys, diapers and apparel that this newborn is going to will need. I started looking on the internet for presents to welcome a new babe and I discovered the Bearington Baby collection from Bearington Bear. Bearington Bear has been around for 14 years and in that small time they have won more design awards and nominations than any other teddy bear Organization. Not only are their products awesome and cuddly, but they are made to last. This caught my interest immediately. I don not think there's anything more important to a little one than their favorite stuffed animal or blanket. Often, by the time the child turns six, the teddy or blanket which they've clung to since birth is so worn that it becomes an eyesore that mother would rather not hang on to. This is unfortunate when you consider all the wonderful memories these security items evoke. Not to mention the security they install in the little one. I believe that spending a little more on a plush toy that will last considerably longer is worth every dime. I truly cannot think of a nicer keepsake for my friend than to give her first son or daughter a cuddly keepsake that will still be around long after the child has outgrown it. hand made baby quiltsBaskets By Rita recently began offering products by You'll love our handmade baby quilts made from 100% cotton fabrics. An Italian Feast In A Gift Basket

I don't think I know anybody who doesn't adore Italian food! Who doesn't enjoy the aromas of rich tomato sauce, toasted garlic, and newly made breadsticks? If anyone knows how to do comfort food, it's the Italians! Unfortunately, I do not have a single ancestor from Italy, but nevertheless, that does not mean I don't admire the culture, language, and of course the food and red wine. Since I myself do not come from an Italian family, I am inspired by the ceremony and customs that encircle an Italian table. I have done some research on traditional Italian table conduct and have decided to share some things here. To begin with, before beginning the meal, any newcomer should know that an Italian dinner is not a hasty experience, but can easily take as long as three hours. This means, settle-back, kick back, and enjoy your food at a steady pace. It is traditional for each guest to give a popular course to contribute. This means there may be as many as ten courses in a night. At this point I'd like to give a piece of advice not to help yourself too much too quickly. With ten unique things to taste it is wise to leave room for a little of everything. Make sure you arrive on time! In the kindest of Italian traditions, no one will begin eating until every last guest it there. In an attempt not to keep others waiting, be sure not to be late. The most important recommendation I can give you is to forego any stress you are carrying and simply thoroughly indulge in the meal! Italians will typically linger at the table long past when they have finished eating simply to delight in each others company. italian theme gift basketI cannot think of a better way to decompress and brush aside the heavy strains of normal life! Now I'm sure after reading this you are going to want to make their way to the nearest Italian restaurant or make a call to your best Italian friend and ask if you can join them for dinner. Another solution for a deep Italian craving is to order in... what I mean is buy an Italian Gift Basket online from Baskets By Rita. This Italian Gift Basket is a perfect way to say happy birthday, thank you, or Happy Holidays! It consists of organic pasta, pasta sauce, Italian wafer cookies, artisan breadsticks, herb cheese spread, summer sausage, green olives, almonds, and espresso candy. Since we have already established that everyone delights in Italian cuisine, how could you possibly go wrong?

Why Not Send Thanksgiving Appreciation Gifts

Since the 19th century, people in America have recognized Thanksgiving by imitating the vision of the pilgrims and the Indians sitting down together for a amiable feast. As pretty as this vision of unity might be, it is not reality. The account of pilgrims and Indians was one of one-sided amity. while the Indians supplied the pilgrims with food and methods to subsist their first winter the pilgrims gave thanks to them by brutally murdering and attacking them. Even though this is not what we prefer to think about as we get together to celebrate with our friends and family, perhaps it offers a new perspective to the holiday. The pilgrims were ravenous and dubious. They took from the Indians and reciprocated in the most severe ways possible. Maybe instead of imitating the dreamy story of the pilgrims and Indians as buddies each Thanksgiving, we should reflect on the hatred the Indians encountered at the hands of their "friends" the pilgrims. halloween gift basketsNow I don't wish to imply that Thanksgiving should be a formal day of reflection and remembrance, but perhaps we should take the occasion to consider our own relationships. Of all the things we are thankful for on Thanksgiving, the individuals we cherish should be at the very top. Thanksgiving is not only an occasion for us to share our numerous blessings with the ones we love, but to convey our recognition for their loyal friendship. This Halloween you might consider sending a little something more to say thank you. Why not thank your loved ones for their friendship and support by giving them a Halloween Gift Basket from Baskets By Rita? We've harvested some great fall goodies for our Fall Harvest Gift Basket. Our bushel style basket is filled with apple cider, cranberry cheddar cheese, crackers, pumpkin cookies, sausage, candy corn, an apple flavored fruit and nut bar, apple crispy-crunchy-chewy-chocolaty snack mix in a tube, chips and salsa, maple crunch coffee, and chocolate candy coated coffee beans. Colorado Graduation Gifts

Graduation is a primary life event for anyone. Whether graduating from associate's program or earning a major certificate, graduation is an accomplishment worth commemorating. In the United States, about 57% of the population between the ages of 3 and 34 are enrolled in some type of degree program. Whether attending nursing school, medical school, or elementary school, these people are taking measures toward a better future. Of this 57%, only a few will indeed graduate from high school and then of course postsecondary institutions as well. In 2009, 8.1% of High School Students dropped out of class without graduating. Of those who had began as Freshman in the class of 2006, about 75% graduated. When investigating Postsecondary Schools, the number of students who graduate are even smaller. In 2001, 38% of approved students of 2 year institutions graduated along side 65% from 4 year institutions. This confirms that it takes much work and commitment to obtain an education and this is why we should recognize those who see it through. A friend of mine recently moved from Rhode Island to Colorado to complete his education half way across the country. He is fortunate to attend a university with several campuses nationally which allows him to transfer his credits without restraint from one state to another. He didn't leave because he was unhappy with the city in Rhode Island or in order to find a new social scene. His sole reason for heading to Colorado was so that his family in California could go to his graduation ceremony. My friend is from a large Mexican family and he is the first among them to graduate from university. For his family this means there will be a huge party that may last several days. Not only will he be surrounded by family and lots of food and music, but he can count on the generosity of gifts. Gift giving is an important part of any graduation celebration, because it grants family and friends an opportunity to tell the graduate that they are proud of them. Giving gifts is a form of showing that you support what the graduate is doing for their self as they plan for their future. As the graduation season approaches, remember the value of the words “Congratulations!” Whether conveyed with money, presents useful for a future career, or a custom made Snack Attack Gift Basket , recognition for a job well done means just as much as the self satisfaction a graduate gets from their the completion of their work. snack food gift basketA perfect selection of Snack Food in a Basket. Whether you know someone who is graduating from high school, college, or university; whether they are graduating with their associates, bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree; or whether they are attending another postsecondary institution be it medical school, a cosmotology program, or an industry apprenticeship; they have earned recognition for what they have achieved. Beer For Dear Old Dad's Day

I can't believe that Father's Day has officially only been around since 1972. It took 4 presidents and a Maine senator to finally make it an official holiday. Mother’s Day had been around for roughly 60 years by then. Sonora Smart was the first person to propose Father’s Day to honor her Father who was left to raise his 6 children when his wife died giving birth to their 6th child. It was then recommended to complement Mother’s day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting. Today Father's Day is celebrated on a range of dates around the globe and typically involves gift-giving, special dinners to fathers, and family-oriented activities. To help in support of Father’s day young members of the YMCA went to church sporting a rose: a red rose to honor a living father, and a white rose to commemorate a deceased one. Fascinatingly enough Father's Day was in danger of disappearing from the calendar while Mother's Day was met with eagerness, Father's Day was often met with laughter. Not all fathers are exactly alike! beer gift baskets OK, so you’re thinking what in the world can I purchase my dad for Father’s day? I don’t live at home any more and haven't a clue what he wants. You aren’t definitely considering purchasing a gift card to Lowe’s or Home Depot are you? That’s about as personal as a another baseball hat. You may not live at home any more, but you probably have a good idea of what your dad enjoys – is he a beer fan? A chocolate lover? How about a wine fan? I’ve discovered that on the internet there are tons of gift that men would genuinely like for a gift that are simple to order. I know, maybe you always thought “baskets” were for ladies, but once you take a look at a beer tub, you will have a new opinion. If your dad’s personal preferences are for wine, you’ll notice that they can be delivered not only a fine wine of your choice, but also a great set of complementary foods that make a very nice package. These gift baskets for a father would be the best gift for dear old dad on Fathers day. So let’s say your dad is a tea drinker and he is also a big snack fan. All you need to do is order Beer Gift for a guy that fits the bill. The most important part of the whole gift is your message on the card attached so be heart-felt. Some on-line gift baskets companies will even custom design that gift basket to really fit your dad’s preferences. http://www.basketsbyrita.com http://www.basketsbyrita.com/Beer-Gift-_p_230.html http://www.twitter.com/basketsbyrita http://www.facebook.com/basketsbyrita

What do Kids Like at Easter

Few things are as real as a child’s anticipation on Easter morning beside the egg hunt. I remember rushing down the stairs as soon as I woke up and shaking my parents awake, asking them if we could open our gifts from Santa. Even though I never knew what to expect in Easter Basket, there were always Easter customs which I could anticipate from year to year. One of my personal favorite Easter customs was always the sweets and goodies I would dig out in my basket and from the oven, which was toasty and cozy from all the baking. With such a large array of cookies, toffees, and chocolate Easter eggs, I could give myself a stomach ache by noon! Easter was the only occasion where I was permitted to eat whatever I wished all day long. Think of the children you in your life and what the Easter means to them. Regardless of whether you have tender memories of singing Christmas carols with your nieces and nephews on the way home from church on Easter, or joyfully remember sneaking around and playing Easter bunny to bring that mystical twinkle to your own children’s eyes, there are many simple things you can do to create those holiday memories that a child will look back on so fondly for years to come. One thing that makes Easter so wonderful is the decorations and holiday trim you find everywhere. At our company we pride ourselves in the beauty of each of our baskets. We care just as much about how our baskets look on the outside as how they taste on the inside. Easter eco gift bagInside each of our holiday gift baskets you will find a variety of cookies, chocolates, drink mixes made for snuggling up by the fire, candies, nuts and popcorn, and snack mixes. You Cound Send Mom Love In A Gift

Mother’s Day as we know it is a sort of recent holiday, though it is simply not a “Hallmark holiday” created to sell more cards. There are a number of Mothering day or Mother-focused holidays in history like Mothering Day in the UK, Cybele in ancient Greece, or Mothering Sunday in much of Europe. Mother’s Day was developed by Anna Jarvis in 1912. Mother’s day was particularly chosen to be a singular possessive meaning it was suitable for each family to celebrate their mother, not plural possessive that would be used to recognize all the mothers of the world. Following congressional approval, It was officially recognized on May 9, 1914 when president Woodrow Wilson made the official notification proclaiming Mother’s day as a national holiday to be observed on the 2nd Sunday of May. Mother’s Day has subsequently been adopted by many other countries and cultures. In many cases, the date was changed to fit existing celebrations or to complement with a significant date in which the majority are based on religion. consequently, Mother’s Day is celebrated in February in Norway and on December 22nd in Indonesia, with various dates in between celebrated by other people. One of the ceremonies of Mother’s Day is to give your mom a treat along with good wishes as a way to show your respect to her. If you live near by (and are seeing your mom regularly!) you undoubtedly have a very good idea what to get her. Then again, those of us that don’t live close can be at a total loss. Consider the things Mom take pleasure in a perhaps send her a gift with that concept. Gift baskets are perfect when it comes to gifts with a theme. If your mom enjoys golf there are golf themed gift baskets. Perhaps she is into tea and relaxation then look for a nice tea baskets or a relaxing spa basket. Maybe she loves fine wine and you know she appreciates red wine or white wine or even champagne. There are a lot of great wine gift baskets to select from that feature wine to make sure that would make a perfect mothers day basket. The choices are many and what a gift baskets does, is provide you with a nice selection of goodies that she will enjoy with the theme she will appreciate. Rather than sending clothes yet again this year, you could possibly consider a The Thank Full Gift Basket. "WOW! Thank You! This is Awesome! That's the reaction you'll get when choosing this Thank You Gift Basket. We feel a gift basket should be a masterpiece for the art of appreciation. You'll give a fun message of gratitude in every delectable way imaginable with Starbucks house blend ground coffee, Starbucks bottled cappuccino, roasted salted nuts, natural hickory smoked beef summer sausage, Shortbread thank you cookies, caramel popcorn, wine flavored cheddar cheese, crackers, chocolate bar, gourmet snack mix and candies. Another thing to think about here is the useful factor. thank you food gift basketWhat I mean by this is many of the gifts that you give your Mother are either redundant or something she will never us. So, consider something green, useful and best of all reusable. The green and reusable is the container which could be a reusable basket or perhaps a 100% recycled reusable shopping bag. The useful is the great gourmet foods or the high quality lotions and soaps in the basket. Why not send her something distinct and notable this Mother’s day! Even if you live far away or right down the street these gifts can be delivered. Happy Mother’s Day! Our world of thank you gift basket says it all. Thank you food gift basket for business to business gifts, thanks for your support and thank you gifts for family giving. Thank you coffee, cookies, nuts and more. The Hows and Whys of Celebrating Easter

The resurrection of Christ is what Easter is all about also making it the most essential of all Christian holy days. However, in the present day the meaning of the holiday is masked by dyed eggs and bunnies. Easter can fall at any time between March 22 and April 25 since is occurs the first Sunday following the full moon. Easter is also related to the Jewish Passover in symbolism and it’s location in the calendar. What’s with Rabbits and eggs and Easter? Well the rabbit is a well know sexual image of fertility. Religions affiliated with Babel relate the rabbit with periodicity, both human and lunar. The Mother Goddess Semiramis (Easter) is linked with the moon. girls easter basket]Therefore, the Easter rabbit symbolizes the Mother Goddess and is linked with once a year Spring time fertility rituals worshiping the Mother Goddess. Colored Easter eggs are a part of the activities too that came from the egg which was a sacred symbol among the Babylonians. They assumed that a fantastic size egg fell from heaven into the Euphrates River from which the Goddess Semiramis was hatched. It makes you wonder how many of us honestly think about the actual meaning of this holiday apart from the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It has expanded to be another retail holiday and over commercialized. However, it is a time for families to join and celebrate the day. Kids love Easter for the Easter Baskets, candy and most of all the Easter egg hunt which could take on a life of it’s own. Family member that are separated by physical geography many times send Girls Easter Basket to their loved ones. Grandma and Grandpa send Filled Easter baskets for Kids to grandchildren. Daughter and sons might Family Easter Basket to mom and dad and brothers and sisters far away. Girls Easter Basket filled with special goodies for Easter giving. Gifts That Targe Stress

If you know a tax preparer, CPA, lawyer or a undergraduate student, you may be aware of the stresses they endure this time of year. Preparing for and cranking through reams of paperwork or cramming for midterms, finals, or that big test can seriously take it out of anyone. You many times can’t be there to help them, but want to prove to them that you are thinking of them. There is no need for you to stress out trying to get something to reduce their stress, so we have a few ideas. These are simple to choose and easy to order if you feel it’s practical for your situation. These items are organized in two categories – first items to help someone stay alert during the peak period. These are typically caffeine and chocolate rich items that will help keep them going. Second are items to help them wind down. One thing busy people can always use is a few munchies to hold them over until their next meal or to help them with their “all nighter”. Baskets by Rita has a handful of recommendable ideas for gifts that can help that student, lawyer or CPA during those stressful weeks. For the caffeine addicted night owl, there’s the Chocolate and Coffee basket that gives you assorted chocolates with Starbucks frappuchino and coffees. Here are two tastes they will enjoy and keep things cranking into the wee hours. If they are not so much into coffees but could still use a bit of caffeine, a stress relief basket might be the perfect gift. This basket includes a can of Red Bull with a decent variety of munchies. They also get a stress ball to squeeze when a client (or professor) is being very difficult. stress relief gift basketsThe survival gift basket is another nice choice. It contains caffeine both in the Monster drink as well as the frappuccino. It also contains a nice mix of easy to eat munchies to hold them over. OK, so much for the caffeine injected choices. You can really help them relax after a lengthy week. If caffeine is the last thing they should have, you might possibly consider something to help them relax after a stressful day. Our first choice is focused on the hard-working woman. A terrific choice for relaxation is the Luxury Spa Gift Basket. This comes in a galvanized metal tub filled with lotions, scrubs, soaps and even a relaxing CD. This is undoubtedly the most romantic choice on this list. A gift that will relieve the overstressed frantic people in your life is a gift indeed. Cupid Had the Right Idea in Colorado

Love is in the air and in the Chocolate around the middle of February. Every Valentine’s Day it appears like people give the exact same thing. A box of chocolates, a cheesy teddy bear, spa products, sexy underwear, jewelry, it’s all so predictable! While nearly all people wouldn’t complain about acquiring a gift from someone they love, there must be more personal ways of demonstrating your love and affection. If you feel like your gifts are becoming gushy from year to year and you want to step it up a notch, why not make something yourself that says that you took the time to create something that comes from your heart. Not only will this mean more, but it will be unique and genuinely express your feelings in a way that no greeting card can. Here are some ideas that will show you really care. You could Create a coupon book that they can redeem at any time. Include coupons for a free massage, dinner and a movie, a night out at a fancy restaurant, or a day exempt from cleaning. Each coupon should be an opportunity for you to show them you love them by pampering them or cutting them some slack and giving them a chance to relax. These are great ways to show that special someone how much you really care on that one day of the year declared I love you day. There are lots creative ideas for creating romance without spending lots of money such as Give them a full body massage. Lay out the massage oils, light some candles, start the mood music, and create a comfortable place for them to lay down and relax. Spend an hour giving them a much needed massage paying special attention to areas where they carry the most stress. If you’re lucky, maybe they’ll return the favor. I love Valentines day with all this positive energy of love and romance and caring. If all else fails you could Spend time together. Whether you plan a weekend getaway to a resort and spa or just plan a night alone on the couch, the most important thing you can give to the person you love is your time and attention. Let them know that no matter what you’re doing together, they are the most important person in the world. chocolate valentine gift basketA friend recently told me that he sent a gift basket to his wife last year for Valentine’s day and she loved it because it contained things that you don’t find in most stores. Great gourmet chocolates, flavored nuts, wine, olives and more great chocolate. It made him look really good and this very romantic holiday. I could have sent him a Valentine's day chocolate gift. A Chocolate Valentine's Gift Basket for your chocolate lover. This beautiful brown faux leather reusable and collapsible file box with a lid is overflowing with chocolaty goodness. If these ideas have sparked your interest or given you a good starting point for planning out your Valentine’s Day, please pass this along via Facebook or Twitter.
